Ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, and they're likely
to answer without hesitation. Because kids dream big about their
futures. Junior Achievement teaches kids how to turn their dreams
into workable realities. The JA program, taught by classroom volunteers,
is centered on three basic tenets: workforce readiness, economic
education and the importance of staying in school. The organization's
goal is to teach over 100,000 students throughout the Bay Area the
economics of life through free-enterprise education. As a race participant,
you can make a contribution to Junior Achievement. To find out more
about Junior Achievement, call (877) 737-0370 or visit www.jaba.org.
