The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Society's Northern California Division serves over 24,000 families and 25 counties. The Society's endurance sport training and fundraising program, Team In Training, rated "Top Charity Sports Training Program" by Competitor Magazine, has trained more than 17,000 Northern Californians to complete marathons and other sporting events. Over 75% of all funds raised goes directly to the cause: finding a cure for blood-related cancers. Since 1949, the Society has provided more than $280 million for cancer research.
