Race registration includes the 12K race, a commemorative T-shirt and admittance to Footstock.

Runners begin the race at the Embarcadero near the bay, sent on their way by a blizzard of tortillas – your first clue that this is no ordinary race. The course cuts through SOMA along Howard Street, then shifts north of Market Street to ascend the Hayes Street hill. Passing the painted ladies of the city’s central neighborhoods, it enters Golden Gate Park through the tree-lined Panhandle and then heads for the sea. The total length of the course is 12K (7.46 miles).
